Chorley Tri goes it alone Posted on: Tuesday 29th November 2005 Bookmark This | Print This Page | Send To A Friend At a recent meeting of the Triathlon section of Chorley AC, it was decided by the members to split from Chorley AC and form a completely separate Triathlon club. The members of the club decided that this was the best way forward for the Athletics and Triathlon sections, allowing both to concentrate all their efforts and resources on their own individual disciplines. The new Triathlon club will be called Chorley Tri and will be running three training sessions weekly, one in each discipline, catering for all levels from complete beginners to experienced triathletes. Chorley Tri will also form close links with other clubs in the local area such as Lancashire Road Club for cycling and Chorley Marlins for swimming. The club will also run four events: the Brinscall Triathlon, now in its tenth year, and the Yarrow Valley Duathlon series which was successfully run for the first time last year. All details of training, events and other club matters will be on the club web site or you can email info@chorleytri.co.uk. |
