Has common sense prevailed? Posted on: Wednesday 9th November 2005 Bookmark This | Print This Page | Send To A Friend According to a posting on the Tri Talk forum by Peter Coulson at lunchtime today it now looks as though they have (or are at least prepared to) withdrawn the two resolutions put forward for the AGM. We have never understood the resolutions and it is telling that the first sentence of Peter's posting reads "We now understand that the BTA policy on events will be to offer its approval to any event which satifies the new Event Safety Code which is to be published within the next few weeks." Didn't either of them think to talk to either the BTA or IMUK before putting these resolutions forward? Apparently not... Anyway, it looks as thought some of the fairly impassioned debate may have finally made them see the light of day -- all we need now is an official notification and we'll be happy that this has finally been laid to rest. |
