Shortly after winning her second ETU European Long Distance Duathlon Championship in Horst last year, we profiled the Vitus Chrono bike of Lucy Gossage. The bike was part of her sponsorship with Chain Reaction Cycles. That partnership continues into 2014 and Lucy will once again be applying her 'smashfest' racing style on a Vitus...but this year it will be on an all new and improved one. Meet the Vitus Chrono2.

The bike is actually a 2015 production model, which Lucy gets to ride this season alongside the An Post - Chain Reaction Continental Road Cycling Team. With increasing investment in professional sponsorship, Chain Reaction through the Vitus brand see this bike as a major step forward, with Lucy's success over the last two seasons significantly raising their profile in the Triathlon market.

The 2015 Vitus Chrono2 will come in five sizes (XS, S, M, L, XL) - it will be no surprise to hear that Lucy rides the XS model - and is fully UCI approved for competitive racing. Framesets (frame, forks, bars, stem and seatpost) go on sale towards the end of the year priced at £1599.99

Thanks to her sponsorship from Carbonsports GmbH, Lucy gets to train on Lightweight Meilenstein Clincher wheels. For racing - subject to course and conditions - we'll see her utilising the Autobahn disc and Autobahn VR front wheel (tubulars).

An addition for the 2014 season (not used on last years bike), is a SRAM RED Quark Power Meter. Lucy uses a Garmin Edge 800.

Once again, the Adamo Racing 2 saddle will be Lucy's perch this season. The carbon aero seatpost proves 25mm of fore/aft adjustment, providing a seat angle between 75 and 77 degrees.

Look closely and you'll spot the integrated TRP rear brake under hidden away under the bottom bracket.

The top tube 'kink' is reminiscent of some of the Look models - while also providing the entry point to conceal the cables.

As with the rear, the front brake is also a TRP integrated version.
