Bella Comerford obviously did recover from her win at Florida a couple of weeks ago as she won the ITU Long Distance Championships in Canberra ahead of Edith Niederfriniger (ITA) and Johanna Daumas (FRA). Sara Gross was 6th, Abigail Bayley 9th and Rachel Horn 15th. Surrogate Brit Lisbeth Kristensen (DEN) was a DNF. In the mens race Torbjorn Sindballe (DEN) won ahead of Craig Alexander (AUS) with Marino Vanhoenacker (BEL) in third. Stephen Bayliss placed 20th and Russel Kober was 28th. As far as we can tell we only collected one age group medal and that was a Gold for Victoria Wilkinson in the 25-29 category. Full results including age groupers are on the official website: www.multisportaustralia.com.au.
