Following the announcement a couple of weeks ago that the Longest Day was in serious trouble, Black Country have seen entries jump by 50%. While this makes the event viable for 2006 more athletes are still needed to make it break even. This will almost certainly be the last running of TLD, for many years the only consistently run full distance event in this country and the one that many aspiring Ironmen and women cut their teeth on. So, just in case this is the final curtain call, make a date for July 22/23 and if you can't take part at least go along and support the event.
