Today was the athlete briefing which went like clockwork and then they were allowed to swim the 2-lap course. At the moment it looks like a non-wetsuit swim but it is close to the 20° mark. The British contingent are reported as hoping the swim will be non-wetsuit as it will help sort the field out earlier -- wetsuits tending to be a bit of a leveller. However, there is a bit of a breeze which may make the water "interesting" according to a local yacht club member...

The bike and run course were also closed down so the athletes could practice on the roads for a couple of hours, which shows just how much the locals are behind the event! The bike is a 5-lap which is quite fast but with a couple of potential pinch points and the run is a 2-lap. The full official start lists are now up on the CG website.
