The BTA website has the following dates and venues for the various National Championships in 2002:

• Duathlon Championship at Swindon on the 28 April
• Elite Triathlon Championship (Legal Drafting) at a venue to be confirmed on either the 18 or 19 May
• Age Group Triathlon Championship at Shropshire on the 9 June
• Sprint Triathlon Championship at a venue to be confirmed on the 20 or 21 July
• Long Course Triathlon Championship at a Black Country venue on either the 30 June or 7 July
• Club Relay Championship and British Team Time Trial Championship at Nottingham on the 10 August
• Junior Sprint Triathlon Championship at Lochore Meadows, Scotland on either the 29 or 30 June
• Youth Super Sprint Championship at a venue to be decided on a date in July to be decided.
• Youth and Tri Star Regional Team Championship at a venue to be decided on a date in September to be decided.

The BTA are still looking for organisers wishing to host the Youth Super Sprint Championship or the Youth and TriStar Regional Team Championship. No announcements yet about the qualifiers for the 2002 World Championships at Standard or Long Distance in either Triathlon or Duathlon although one imagines that the Nationals at Shropshire are a pretty safe bet for one of the events.
