Nicole Cook may have won the womens Tour de France overall, see this report on the BBC website but third overall was ex-triathlete Emma Pooley. Emma was a member of Cambridge Triathlon Club while she studied for her degree and she is now working on a Phd in Switzerland under one Sarah Springman. She represented GB at the 2003 World Championships in Queenstown, NZ before taking up road racing in early 2005. In her final triathlon in 2005 she won her age group race at Windsor 2005 by over four minutes. Great to also see Tanja Slater doing well, she won a stage on a breakaway in the last 10k.
