While Roth is no longer an official WTC Ironman event with Hawaii slots, this was their last year as part of the WTC circuit, the event will continue. The organisers have promised to keep the same course, probably the fastest in the world with several sub 8-hour performances in recent years, and, because they don't have to pay out all sorts of fees to the WTC, they are reducing the price and increasing the amount of pre and post race activities.
