Richard Melik, a member of the Serpentine Club, is one of the five finalists in a competition to design a set of kit for the Slipstream Pro cycling team for 2008. The argyle pattern and colours were prerequisites (odd tastes, these Americans...) but other than that the designers had a free reign. Richard's design has embraced the argyle pattern, rather than playing it down, and is certainly very striking. If it wins you'll be seeing David Millar and the rest of the team wearing it next year.
