New for the 2008 race calender is the Tewkesbury Aquathlon Series brought to you by a new race organising team, Goggle Pedal Trainer. The series consists of four races, with three to count and each race follows the same format; a 400 metre pool swim followed by a fast flat 5k run around Tewkesbury School playing fields. The dates for these events are 20th January, 17th February, 23rd March and 20th April leading nicely to the true start to the season for most triathletes in May. There are limited spaces at each of these races however, so entering early is advised.

Goggle Pedal Trainer are also organising the Apperley Duathlon, near Tewkesbury, for mid-August 2008 so if you are looking for a nice, rural duathlon in the Gloucestershire area then this could be it.
