The heart of the event, including the transition and festival area, will be hosted on the museum's front lawn offering spectators a grand experience. The unique and scenic route for the swim, bike and run will take participants by a number of famous landmarks in Stockholm including Djurgårdsbrunnsviken, Strandvägen, Skeppsbron, the Royal Palace, Söder Mälarstrand, Norr Mälarstrand, City Hall and Gärdet. The route will show case Stockholm city at its best and will offer participants an enjoyable journey. You can download a map of the route through the city here. In order to break away from the sport’s ironman/super-fit image, the event has been created so that people of all abilities and fitness levels can join in on the fun. The Stockholm Triathlon will carry three different classes (Standard, Sprint and Supersprint) and participants can compete individually or in team relays (were one person swims, one bikes and one runs). The Stockholm Triathlon will also host national and international elite triathletes who will be taking part in the National Championships on the same day. This will enable hundreds of people trying triathlon for the first time to see the pros in action.
