Helen Tucker's World Championship performance has been nominated for Wales' best sporting achievement of 2008. For Helen, who started the season rather cautiously following a long-term Achilles injury, it has turned into a year that most athletes can only dream of. Beijing bound and with a World Championship gold medal fixed firmly around her neck, it would be hard to ignore her incredible achievements this year. So, it comes as no surprise that her Vancouver performance has been chosen by a panel of sporting experts, along with five other great Welsh Sporting Performances, to be voted as Wales' best sporting achievement of 2008.

The competition is tough, she's up against: Cardiff FC, Swansea FC, Boxer Joe Calzaghe, Footballer Ryan Giggs, and the Welsh rugby team. So to get voting for Helen today click here .
