Its less then five days now till Europeans, and I've started to get excited! Me and my bro are flying from Manchester and meeting the rest of the team out there when they arrive there too. Its only an hour and a half flight, but then an hour and a half drive after to get to Holten from Amsterdam so that's not going to be fun! Especially if the weather is like it is here - way too hot!

I feel that my preparation has gone well and so I just hope that everything falls into place on the day and that I have a good swim! I’m not sure what the water temp is out there at the moment, the website states that the average for this time of year is 18 degrees but its been warm lately so could push it up, and be a non wetsuit swim. I'll have my sailfish furious at hand!

It will be an interesting race as there are two different transitions in completely different locations. T1 is near the lake, we then cycle to the Holten and do some laps around there before T2 which is in the town, so will be exciting racing! I just hope it’s not too hot but my race is early so hopefully it’ll be ok and will be a good day of racing by all the British team!
