![]() Thetrilife.com offers coaching plans for Sevenoaks Triathlon competitors Posted on: Tuesday 22nd December 2009 Bookmark This | Print This Page | Send To A Friend Continuing their approach of offering competitors a wide range of 'value added' services linked to their races, 7Oaks Tri Club have teamed up with thetrilife.com (www.thetrilife.com) to offer competitors a free 12 week training plan to help them prepare for their 2010 events. You can even take advantage of the offer if you are not taking part in the race too. 7Oaks Tri Club are pleased to announce that competitors in both 2010 Sevenoaks Triathlons have been offered a free training plan in a partnership with thetrilife.com. Athletes who email thetrilife at sevenoakstricoach@thetrilife.com will receive a 12 week training program to help them prepare for the event. Whilst this is primarily aimed at novice or less experienced athletes, it contains many tips and hints that others may find useful. Although this offer was set up for Sevenoaks competitors, athletes who are not taking part in the Sevenoaks Triathlon may also use this opportunity to get a training plan as well. Liz Scott, co-founder and coach at thetrilife.com said “Sevenoaks Triathlon is a great event for novice and experienced triathletes alike. For first timers it is a challenging course so that having a well structured training program will make a real difference. Athletes that are new to triathlon are often unsure of how much and what sort of training they should be doing – our 12 week program describes what to do and when and also includes sessions that will prepare the athlete for the specific challenges of Sevenoaks. We are delighted to be able to offer this program to the entrants of the Sevenoaks Triathlons – any entrant that has questions related to training or racing can send their question to sevenoakstricoach@thetrilife.com where our coaches will be ready to help. First time triathletes can be sure that they are going to have a great day – the race is really well organised and there are always lots of supporters to keep your going! For my athletes the Sevenoaks Triathlons are one of my preferred events to start and finish the season.” Race Director and Club Chairman Gez Morgan said “by offering Sevenoaks triathlon competitors a structured training programme, thetrilife.com is contributing to the success of both the athletes and the event.” Thetrilife.com was founded in 2005 by Duncan and Elizabeth Scott with ex-elite long distance triathlete Richard Jones and Louise Jones in order to deliver high-quality triathlon coaching via online programs, one-to-one coaching, day camps in the UK and overseas training camps. Thetrilife.com is now a leading coaching company in the UK with a highly qualified coaching team that includes Richard Jones, Bill Black, Andrea Whitcombe and recent addition Beijing Olympic coach Dan Salcedo. At thetrilife.com the coaches believe that training programs and coaching are not just for the elite but for athletes of all levels of fitness and ability from first time triathletes through to seasoned professionals. Thetrilife.com has coaches local to Sevenoaks, Mike Redshaw and Elizabeth Scott, who in addition to training programs, are able to offer one-to-one sessions in all disciplines including bike setup, swim stroke analysis in an Endless Pool and regular performance testing. The Sevenoaks Triathlon to be held on Sunday 18th April 2010 sold out in under 4 days, the next race after this will be held on Sunday 19th September 2010. 7Oaks Tri Club is a thriving and successful club that welcomes athletes of all abilities and experience.
