In the first of a three part article, Mike Trees outlines a training programme for anyone looking to compete at Ironman distance. Mike's programme begins at 23 weeks out from Ironman Lanzarote. In this first part, Mike provides a summary of the overall plan week-by-week and in the coming weeks will expand this to a weekly view and a more in depth look at each session to understand what the benefits are, each time they train.
