At the end of the season every year we ask our coaches to nominate an athlete that they coach for our Athlete of the Year competition, based on their achievements, progress and overall attitude. From these nominations we chose a winner. This year we have had some exceptional athletes and we are pleased to announce that the trilife.com Athlete of the Year 2009 is Clare Cunningham. Coached by Andrea Whitcombe.

Since completing the London, Edinburgh and New York marathons Clare decided to take up triathlon in 2008. This year in paratriathlon she has won Gold in the National, European and World Championships. A huge achievement and topped off by winning the Corus British Triathlon Female Paratriathlete of the Year 2009! We look forward to 2010.
