3T has signed a worldwide sponsor partnership with teamTBB.

Singapore-based teamTBB is a major player in professional triathlon, representing and managing 30 athletes of 15 nationalities. It is also committed to social programs for young people in countries as diverse as Brazil, the Philippines, and Thailand.

3T will become teamTBB's official cockpit components supplier. The 2-year agreement means 3T will at any time be able to field six active, sponsored triathletes.

“It's great to be able to participate with teamTBB,” said 3T CEO René Wiertz. “The work Alex Bok and his staff are doing to promote cycling awareness and sport in Asia is inspirational. Their athletes are a model for youth, and this complements ideally our participation with Team Garmin-Transitions sponsor Slipstream Sports.”

Alex Bok, owner of teamTBB and The Bike Boutique, added: “We welcome 3T whole-heartedly. We've seen how triathletes in search of their ultimate performance are turning to 3T aero components. We think our athletes should have equipment that frees them to give of their best.”

teamTBB's 2010 calendar comprises 250 races in 5 continents. Ironman is the team's main focus – it takes part in 4 out of 5 of the world's full Ironman, and 2 in 5 of half-Ironman events. In the last 30 months, it has garnered 24 outright wins. Among its top athletes are Tereza Macel (CZE), Rebekah Keat (AUS), Stephen Bayliss (GBR), and James Cunnama (RSA).
