No sooner had the pace picked up than we are back to single digit numbers of events - a single digit if we want to be really picky! So, a quiet weekend in prospect with Saturday definitely a day for chilling out - I might even get that mountain bike out if I can find the key to the lock...

Sunday has one true multisport event on the calendar with the first of the Cerist Aquathlon Series taking place at the Bro Ddyfi Leisure Centre in Machynlleth. Veteran triathlon organiser Concept Sport has the Romsey 5 Mile run in the Broadlands Estate at Romsey in Hampshire and, as far as we can tell, that's it for the domestic scene.

Overseas the only event of note on the calendar seems to be the Schwanden Winter Triathlon European Cup but with no GB athletes showing on the startlist this might be officially the quietest weekend of the year so far.
