Held on Easter Sunday this year, the Cannes International Triathlon (www.cannes-international-triathlon.com) added two new international winners to its illustrious history, as Cameron Wurf (AUS) and Camilla Pedersen (DEN) earned early season victories in the sixth edition of the race. (Full report is HERE).
The 2km / 107km / 16km event is perfectly timed for athletes to enjoy a great race in stunning surroundings, and also as a stepping stone towards summer target races. As I’ve mentioned several times before, it’s an event I thoroughly enjoyed back in 2015 and is one that is very simple to access, through the nearby Nice Côte d’Azur Airport. If you want a long weekend away with a race involved, this is well worth considering.
Here are some great images of the race, all courtesy of top photographer Jose Luis Hourcade (www.joseluishourcade.com).
