Successful weekend for Go:Do Fitness / TRI247 competition winners at the Brighton and Hove Triathlon

The Sebamed Brighton and Hove Triathlon (www.brightonandhovetriathlon.com) returned for a third time this past weekend and proved to be a smashing success, with over 1,300 entrants, trumping last year’s numbers.

Last month, Go:Do Fitness launched a competition with TRI247 for 12 lucky winners to receive a spot in the Brighton and Hove Triathlon. Results reveal that some of the competition winners, pictured above, placed first in their category in the event.

TRI247 winner, Jason Snell, won the SuperSprint, with other winners Jen Hodkinson and Libby Brewin performing extremely well, too. These competitors, among nine others, won spots in the event courtesy of Brighton-based fitness app, Go:Do.

Throughout the eventful weekend, Go:Do had an eye-catching presence in the expo village, with the Brighton personal trainers and app founders hosting a cycling competition at the branded gazebo.

Five personal training sessions were up for grabs for the cyclist to cover the most ground in 30 seconds.

Brighton personal trainer and Go:Do ambassador, Ryan Phillips, took park in this fun cycling competition on Saturday and said, “That was great fun yesterday, and will drop by again tomorrow for another go!”. People continued filtering in and out of the Go:Do gazebo throughout Saturday and Sunday, with the hopes of winning the personal training prize.

Additional highlights at the Sebamed Brighton and Hove Triathlon include Sponge Director, Jane Hansom, finishing first in the sprint race as well as other members of the Sponge Race Team, David Risebrow and Will Newbury finishing first in the mates wave.

Many photos and success stories from the weekend have been shared across social, with the promise of many returning for next year’s event. TRI247 winner, Jen Hodkinson, had a fantastic time and placed third in the women’s under-39 sprint, “So happy to have raced today in challenging conditions for the swim. Well done to all the competitors, marshals and supporters”.
