Tim Don to race Cannes International Triathlon 2019

An ITU World Champion in Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon, Great Britain’s Tim Don will race the Cannes International Triathlon (www.cannes-international-triathlon.com) for the first time in 2019.

Won this year by Lucy Charles and Javier Gomez, the race – which takes place on April 21st next year – has always attracted high profile athletes, with previous editions including Jan Frodeno, Sebastian Kienle, Leanda Cave, Andreas Raelert, Michelle Vesterby and Bart Aernouts amongst others.

The event comprises distance of 2km (sea) swim, 107km (challenging) bike and 16km (flat), distances which will likely be attractive to many for an early season event. You can find course maps and profiles HERE.

From a UK perspective, having raced at the 2015 edition myself, I can also highlight that it is a very easy event to access and ideal for a long weekend away. Direct flights to Nice, there are regulars buses into Cannes too so no real need to hire a car for what will likely be a 2/3/4 day long weekend anyway. With an entry fee of EUR 150, it is also good value.
