Triathlon Industry Association (TIA): seventh annual multisport athlete survey

Help develop the understanding of UK triathlon industry and win top prizes

For the seventh consecutive year the Triathlon Industry Association (www.triathlonindustryassociation.org) is calling upon your help in completing their annual multisport survey, to investigate the impact of triathlon, and endurance sport engagement, in 2018.

Once again, your help can be rewarded with inclusion in three separate prize draws (in early February, March and April 2019). The prize pool is significant (and growing daily), currently valued at over £6,200 and expected to be added to in the coming weeks [UPDATE – that prize pot is now up to £7,300]. You can see the current offerings HERE. The earlier you complete the survey (which will likely take you 10-20 minutes), the more draws you will be eligible for. So, if you get it completed before the end of January you can maximise the number of prize chances available.

In addition to the prizes – and a new addition for this year – TIA member companies are looking at pulling together a range of discount codes, which will be available to everyone who opts in to receive them at the end of the survey.

Triathlon Industry Association UK Triathlete Survey

Conducted over an intensive four-month period, starting this month, the project will seek to collect over 5,000 responses to provide an authoritative and insightful report into Britain’s triathlete population. With the thousands of readers of TRI247 involved in all aspects of triathlon and endurance multisport in the U.K., your views, opinions and experience of the sport will be of great value to this survey – so we would like to encourage you to take part (and good luck in the prize draws too!).

The Triathlon Industry Association, which comprises event organisers, equipment manufacturers, tour operators, retailers, distributors and media, will be working in conjunction with the sport’s governing body, British Triathlon, to pool data for a comprehensive approach.

The TIA study will provide a detailed insight into:

  • Participation: ranging from when people started the sport to how active they are now
  • Expenditure: what, where and when people are buying and how much they spend
  • Demographic data: who are Britain’s triathletes and what else do they do?

The results from the study will be used by the members of the Triathlon Industry Association and British Triathlon Federation to help grow and shape the business side of the sport that helps fuel growth, participation and performance.
