Regular readers will know that we endeavour to keep our eyes on triathlete-related results outside of our swim-bike-run world, with plenty of triathletes performing well across the individual disciplines. For some – such as Gwen Jorgensen and Kate Allan – that might mean switching sports long term, for running and time trials respectively in their case.
We are also seeing some cross-sport action in the Paratriathlon world too. This past weekend, George Peasgood (seventh at Rio 2017, fourth at the 2017 World Champs in Rotterdam), raced in the C4 Time Trial at the UCI Para-Cycling Road World Cup in Ostend, Belgium.
No stranger to mixing up his racing (last year, he raced at the Track Cycling National Championships for example), George finished in second place over the 27km course.
Loved coming into this race as an unknown & even came away with second place!🥈not bad for a UCI World Cup!
Excited to see what the future could hold is an understatement!

George won’t have any time to rest – and this event was integrated into his triathlon training schedule – as he is now on the way to Yokohama, Japan for the upcoming ITU World Paratriathlon Series event.
You’ll be able to watch George race on home soil – free entry – at the Eton Dorney Paratriathlon World Cup on Monday 28th May. More details on that event HERE.
