Last weekend saw the third edition of most recent Full Distance addition to the annual schedule of Challenge Family races, Challenge Madrid (www.challenge-madrid.com). A challenging course, the bike section runs between the last foothills of the Sierra del Guadarrama and the first elevations of the Sierra de Gredos. This is no drag-strip route, but provides some stunning views along the way, while providing a tough, but realistic challenge.

Once again, we are pleased to welcome the images of José Luis Hourcade (www.joseluishourcade.com) to the pages of Tri247.
