Aqua Sphere and MP Michael Phelps partner Hartree JETS

Proud to support triathlon at all levels, Aqua Sphere & MP Michael Phelps have become the official swim brands to this ambitious amateur tri squad

Swim kit specialist Aqua Sphere and its sister brand MP Michael Phelps are excited to announce a new partnership with the Hartree JETS (Facebook | Instagram), a highly regarded and ambitious amateur triathlon/duathlon squad based in Edinburgh and managed by award winning Head Coach Joel Enoch.

The new agreement seals Aqua Sphere and MP Michael Phelps as the squad’s official swim brands – supplying Aqua Sphere triathlon wet suits and goggles for open water training and competing and MP swimwear and goggles for the pool.

The JETS are the first triathlon squad to be supported by the brands and Stacey Knight, Marketing Manager for Aqua Sphere & MP, explains:

“We are so excited to venture into squad sponsorship and look forward to a great 2019 with this highly committed team. We chose to partner the JETS because we have been impressed by the professional ethos created by Joel who is highly experienced and we believe his coaching environment is as close as possible to that of elite triathletes, allowing amateurs to really excel and achieve their best results.

“This exceptional squad comprises World, European, British and Scottish medalists with 111 GB age-group starts, 23 podiums and 11 wins in GB Age-Group competition as well as several Ironman 70.3 winners, podium finishers and 70.3 World Championship qualifiers, Elite starts, top five Ironman finishes between the 35 athletes who have passed through the squad over the past four seasons. Over the past two seasons the JETS have racked up over 120 podium finishes as well as several nominations and awards for sporting and coaching achievement.

“Joel Enoch has himself competed at nine World/European AG Champs and in the British Super Series and is a regular writer for 220 Triathlon and was awarded Triathlon Scotland Performance Development Coach of the Year in 2015. This is a superb highly committed amateur squad with a great professional work ethic! In addition to benefiting from the high performance attributes of our MP Michael Phelps training swimwear and goggles for pool training, we look forward to the team putting our new and improved Phantom 2.0 and Racer 2.0 triathlon wet suits through their paces and experiencing our wider 2019 ranges in training and racing. Look out for product reviews and squad images of the new range put into hard practice very soon!”

Joel Enoch states, “In the build up to the 2012 Olympic Games, the GB track cycling team had a mantra, ‘look good, feel good, go well’. Whilst the JETS are amateurs, the athletes and coaches bring a professional mindset to training every day and the ability to couple this with top end performance swimwear from MP and wetsuits and goggles from Aqua Sphere will only serve to strengthen the elite environment and culture we aim to emulate and maintain. We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with such high quality innovative products and are keen to forge a strong long term alliance with these world-leading swim brands.”

Aqua Sphere’s new 2019 triathlon wet suit range is available to buy from mid February.  Also look out for Aqua Sphere’s new world-first Vista PRO mask and MP’s exceptional performance pool training swimwear and goggles.
