Who qualified for Kona at IRONMAN UK 2017?

Earlier this year I published a review of the top age-group athletes from IRONMAN UK 2017, highlighting the fastest amateur athletes and the individual age-group champions.

That was only part of the Age-Group story however. With the 2017 IRONMAN World Championships fast approaching, how fast did you need to go to secure a Kona slot from the 2017 race in Bolton? Below are the answers to that question for 2017 – and for the previous five editions too.

The 2017 edition of IRONMAN UK had 40 Age-Group qualifying slots for the IRONMAN World Championshhips in Hawaii on Saturday 14th October, and these are the 40 athletes – plus their race times and category positions – who secured their places.
