Great Britain’s Kat Matthews won a second successive IRONMAN Texas title in emphatic fashion on Saturday, as she once again ran her way to victory.

Holding off Australian Penny Slater, Matthews showed her class and secured her spot at the IRONMAN World Championship in Nice, which will be held in September.

In third place, Lotte Wilms was rewarded for her earlier efforts, having been part of the two person breakaway on the bike alongside Fenella Langridge.
