The inaugural Saudi Arabia T100 Triathlon in Jeddah has been postponed until April 2027, with the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) now planning to add a men’s pro race to this month’s Dubai T100.
Jeddah had been due to host the men’s T100 race and a World Triathlon Cup on November 27–28. The Saudi Arabia T100 and the World Cup will now take place on April 16–17, 2027.
The PTO announced the postponement in coordination with World Triathlon and the Saudi Triathlon Federation. The organisers said the decision followed a joint review of the preparations and the organisational and technical requirements for staging the event for the first time.

The announcement comes amid disruption to other international events in Saudi Arabia because of the ongoing situation in the Middle East. The UCI cancelled this month’s Urban Cycling World Championships in Riyadh, while FIFA and the Saudi Esports Federation postponed October’s FIFAe Finals in Jeddah. Organisers of both events cited regional developments and their impact on logistics.
Men’s race set to join women in Dubai
In a follow-up to TRI247, the PTO said it is planning to stage a men’s professional T100 race in Dubai on Saturday, November 14, the same day as the women’s race already scheduled there.
That would bring the men’s race forward by two weeks from its original slot in Jeddah and put both professional fields on the same day in Dubai ahead of December’s T100 World Championship Final in Qatar.
It would also mean that the scoring criteria of best three regular season races plus the Grand Final will remain in place, with the latest men’s standings as follows:
| Position | Athlete | Nationality | Races completed* | Points |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Hayden Wilde | NZL | 3 | 96 |
| 2 | Jake Birtwhistle | AUS | 3 | 59 |
| 3 | Lasse Nygaard Priester | GER | 2 | 49 |
| 4 | Sam Dickinson | GBR | 2 | 47 |
| 5 | Rico Bogen | GER | 2 | 43 |
| 6 | Gregor Payet | LUX | 3 | 40 |
| 7 | Menno Koolhaas | NED | 2 | 37 |
| 8 | Kyle Smith | NZL | 2 | 34 |
| 9 | Kurt McDonald | AUS | 3 | 32 |
| 10 | Henry Räppo | EST | 3 | 30 |
The PTO added that more details, including the men’s start list, will follow.
However it does mean that, like the women, there will now be a clash with the rearranged WTCS races in Abu Dhabi on November 13. The T100 series leader and defending champion Hayden Wilde for example is currently on the Abu Dhabi start list.

Age-group plans
Organisers said amateur registration has opened for the rescheduled Jeddah age-group event and thanked athletes and partners for their understanding, acknowledging the impact on participants’ plans.
The event is part of a wider push to grow participation in Saudi Arabia, give Saudi triathletes more opportunities to compete and help local organisers gain experience in staging international races.
