“I’ve never really been one to do things the way they have always been done,” said top British triathlete Steph Clutterbuck when she made the eye-catching announcement that she has become an OnlyFans athlete.
OnlyFans is a subscription site, which has been associated with adult material, although it is not exclusively a platform for such content.
Posting on Instagram, Clutterbuck pointed out: “I was a content creator long before I was a professional triathlete and this gives me the opportunity to get back to those roots. OF are building a roster of incredible athletes doing incredible things and it’s an honour to have a space alongside them.
“I am as committed as ever to lifting the veil on the life of being a pro athlete; the highs, lows and everything in between. I want it to be a place where I can connect with you to share the stories, challenges, and real-life moments that don’t always make it to social media.”
‘Embrace every opportunity’
Clutterbuck was a top Age Group athlete before turning professional at the start of 2024 and she qualified for what is her first World Championship in Kona this weekend by finishing second at IRONMAN Chattanooga in late 2024.
In Saturday’s women’s-only race in Hawaii – the biggest of the year by some margin for the world’s best full-distance triathletes – she will wear bib #38 and be part of a strong British contingent.
Health issues earlier this year have hampered her progress but she’s now back to full fitness and the day before the biggest race of her career so far, she added on Instagram: “No better time to announce a partnership than World Champs eve. I am so excited to say I am now officially an @onlyfans athlete.
“This year has shown time and time again that life is too short not to do things differently and embrace every opportunity that comes your way.”

She is not the first British athlete to join OnlyFans – last year top diver Jack Laugher, who again medalled at the Paris Olympics, earned extra income from the subscription site which has helped fund his sporting career.
However British canoeist Kurts Adams Rozentals made headlines earlier this year when he claimed he was being forced to choose between his Olympic dream and his OnlyFans account.
Bucking the trend
Clutterbuck added: “I have been utterly blown away by the support I’ve received from you all this year and I hope you can appreciate that this really is a life changing opportunity.
And hey, I’ve never really been one to do things the way they have always been done – there’s a reason we called the podcast “Buck the Trend” 😅 @buckthetrendpod
As Taylor Swift says…
“Thank you for the lovely bouquet
I’m married to the hustle
And now I know the life of a showgirl, babe
And I’ll never know another”
