A world-class field will line up at Blenheim Palace this weekend as the second Supertri Pro Series event of the season takes place within the splendour of its historic grounds.
The UK’s biggest triathlon, in surely what must also be one of the most spectacular settings, will see more than 5,000 age-group athletes competing alongside a professional field that offers up a compelling battle between international stars and home-grown talent.
France’s LĂ©onie PĂ©riault, one of the most decorated athletes on the international circuit, and compatriot Emma Lombardi race in the women’s field alongside Belgium’s Jolien Vermeylen and Slovakia’s Zuzana MichaliÄŤková, who finished third at the series opener in Austin.
A course the British know well
Racing on home soil, Great Britain’s Jess Fullagar and Olivia Mathias will be among those carrying the hopes of the home crowd, with both athletes looking to make their mark on an international stage on a course they know well.
On the men’s side, Australia’s Luke Willian, Italy’s Alessio Crociani and Canada’s Charles Paquet add international depth to a field dominated by British talent. Former Supertri E World Champion Chase McQueen (USA) and the Netherlands’ Mitch Kolkman are also among the confirmed starters.

Great Britain’s Oliver Conway and Hugo Milner represent some of the most exciting emerging British talent in the field, racing in front of a home crowd at one of triathlon’s most iconic venues.
Many of those competing at Blenheim this weekend were also in Alghero last Saturday for the WTCS event, including Conway, who, disappointed to finish in 19th, is now looking forward to getting on more familiar ground.
‘Onto the next and looking forward to racing at Blenheim’
He posted on his Instagram page: “Alghero WTCS 19th. 🇮🇹 Not the result I wanted, but it was all I could give on the day. Wishing a quick recovery to everyone who crashed.
“Onto the next and looking forward to racing at Supertri Blenheim in my hometown this weekend.”
Doubling up as a stage of British Triathlon’s Super Series, it also means the cream of British development talent will line up alongside the host of international stars for a draft-legal sprint distance race across the Blenheim Palace estate.
Blenheim Palace is the second of three Supertri Pro Series regular-season races. At the opening round in Austin, Germany’s Tim Hellwig took the men’s victory after a bike breakaway alongside Seth Rider before powering home with a stunning run, while the USA’s Gwen Jorgensen produced a blistering 5km to come from sixth to first and claim the women’s title.
Jonny Brownlee goes for sprint tri record
The series continues in Toronto on July 26 before the Supertri Pro Series Final in Jersey on September 6, where the richest single-day prize purse in triathlon, an impressive $800,000, awaits.
Blenheim offers Super Sprint and Sprint distances, as well as the Weekend Warrior, where Olympic medallist and triathlon legend Jonny Brownlee is attempting to set a new record of ten sprint triathlons across the weekend, racing alongside amateurs throughout.
