Who are the favourites?

Alongside GTB, Potter, Olivia Mathias, Sophie Coldwell and Kate Waugh will lineup for Team Great Britain in Cagliari, with two spots remaining on the British team to Paris.

Up against each other and a strong field, they can expect to battle Beaugrand, Periault and Emma Lombardi for a spot on the podium, plus athletes like Taylor Knibb of the USA.

Other notable contenders for the win include German star Laura Lindemann, with her countrywoman Lisa Tertsch also looking dangerous in the early season.
