Pelotan to provide unique roll-on sun solution for Outlaw Triathlon

Endurance sport focused sun protection brand Pelotan and Outlaw Triathlon have announced they are introducing a unique new roll-on sun protection solution for the full distance Outlaw this weekend.

With mercury levels currently sky-rocketing and forecasts for the weekend looking hot, Pelotan are introducing a Roll-On Station in T2 to ensure harmful sun damage is kept to a minimum.

Iain Hamilton, Event Director at Outlaw said: “Outlaws have raced through a few heat waves during our ten years and this weekend looks to be no different. We have always provided sun protection that has been ‘slapped on’ to competitors as they leave T2 but this has never been a perfect solution. For the first time anywhere in the world, Outlaws will be able to grab Roll-On sun protection in second transition – saving seconds with quick, precise and clean application before the run. We have been using the Roll-On for a while ourselves and are pleased to be leading the way in terms of sun protection in triathlon racing.”

Tom Austen, Director at Pelotan said: “Our unique Roll-On product has been incredibly well received in the triathlon world this season, with athletes at all levels telling us how much of a lifesaver it is to have in the kit bag for T2. The formula is the same as our original Spray, designed to protect your skin whilst allowing you to maintain peak performance with a unique sweat and water resistant, breathable and lightweight formula that lasts up to 8 hours, but the application method is much more suited to outdoor use where speed, ease and precision is key. Grab a Roll-On, apply where necessary whilst running through transition and throw it back down – simple.  We’re really excited about launching this initiative with Outlaw and firmly believe this is the Triathlon World’s most advanced sun protection offering.”

In advance of the race this weekend, Pelotan are upgrading delivery to UK customers from 48HR to 24HR at no extra cost to ensure nobody gets caught out in the current heatwave.
