blueseventy is all set to partner with Brutal Events this season, specifically supporting three events, including the Big Brutal Swim in North Wales in August and BrutalFest in September in the Lakes.

The Big Brutal Swim takes place in a deep-water lake in Llanberis, North Wales and covers distances up to 10km. Despite its name, the event is friendly and welcoming to swimmers of all levels who are confident in open water.

blueseventy will be at the event with thermal accessories and wetsuits, as well as standard wetsuits and swimwear. blueseventy will also support the Brutal Fest on 9-10 September and the Extreme Triathlons on 16 September, including The Brutal, which has been voted the world’s toughest triathlon.

Claire Smith from Brutal Events commented: “I’m thrilled about our new partnership with blueseventy. I’ve owned a Helix since 2009 and I’ve loved wearing it during many of my triathlons.”

Heidi Maxton, Events Manager for blueseventy, said: “The beautiful backdrop of North Wales ensures that these are fantastic sporting weekends. Our wetsuits and accessories were designed to allow swimmers to enjoy the freedom of the water, and the glacially formed Llyn Padarn Lake is exactly the sort of environment that that our founders had in mind.”

blueseveventy has recently launched updated versions of two top-selling wetsuits from their range, the Reaction and the Sprint. The Reaction has undergone considerable pattern refinements and major material improvements, while the Sprint, which is a perfect entry-level suit, has been updated with a coloured hydrophobic jersey for improved visibility and flexibility.

The Reaction has a reputation for being highly flexible with great lift in the water, which is particularly helpful to swimmers who are relatively new to open water swimming. The new Reaction has 35% more elongation, making it highly comfortable. The range-topping helix continues to be available in standard and thermal versions.
