ITU has confirmed a new partnership with Nirvana to take care of its extensive logistical and travel operation requirements throughout the 2020 triathlon season.

The agreement comes into force at the start of an Olympic year that also sees the World Triathlon Series concluding with the Edmonton Grand Final in August, Paratriathlon and Multisport World Championships and another global circuit of World Cup racing.

“We are pleased to entrust the considerable operational logistics behind World Triathlon to Nirvana, a company that, for more than two decades, has been running world-class logistics for events and organisations. All of that experience will help ITU to continue operating at the highest level and allow us to become even more efficient while helping to reduce our carbon footprint in the process,” said Antonio Arimany, Secretary General of ITU.

Ken Morris, chairman of Nirvana Europe added; “In 2002, we led the British Triathlon Age Group Team to the European Championships in Carlsbad, the first triathlon tour for our company. We understood endurance sport from a lifetime’s experience. Almost 20 years later, to still be immersed in the sport and appointed as the Official Travel Partner of World Triathlon, makes us incredibly proud. Triathlon is a family, Nirvana Europe is a family, and we are committed to continuing the growth and reputation of both.”
