While Arsene Wenger may have been confirmed today as staying with Arsenal Footall Club for another two seasons, one member of the Arsenal team is leaving…and joining IRONMAN, who have announced the appointment of Will Brown as Vice President of Global Partnerships for IRONMAN in Europe.


IRONMAN NAMES WILL BROWN AS VICE PRESIDENT OF GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS IN EUROPE

Former Director and Board Member for Arsenal Football Club Asia brought on to oversee sponsorship and premium activities for IRONMAN properties in Europe

IRONMAN, a Wanda Sports Holdings Company, announced today that Will Brown has been named as Vice President of Global Partnerships for IRONMAN in Europe. Brown will assume his new role with the company immediately.

In the new position, Brown will be responsible for driving sponsorship and premium activities for all IRONMAN properties in Europe including the IRONMAN and IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon series, the UCI Velothon cycling series, the ITU World Triathlon Series and the UCI Pro Tour Hamburg Cyclassics.

“We are excited to bring someone of Will’s caliber and record of success to our leadership team in Europe,” said Matthieu Van Veen, Chief Revenue Officer of IRONMAN. “Will’s international sports experience will serve to greatly benefit our European partners. As we look to develop our ever growing portfolio of events in running, cycling and mountain biking, he will lead the Global Partnerships team’s continued efforts in creating best in class integrated and innovative partnerships.”

Brown has a strong background with vast experiences in sales and sponsorship. He joins IRONMAN after spending the last six years with the Arsenal Football Club, most recently as Director for Asia based in Singapore. During his time, Brown was tasked with leading the multi-million dollar growth of the Club’s Asia business developing and implementing commercial strategy across Asia. Brown also served as the Clubs Partnership Development Director for Africa and Americas where he secured sponsorship deals across diverse international territories, resulting in significant revenue growth.

Prior to joining Arsenal Football Club, Brown served as the Sales Director for ANSARADA and Global Sponsorship Manger for Manchester United. In those roles he was responsible for creating and managing sales strategy and building new partnerships.
