Ellie Salthouse ran her way onto a second consecutive podium on American soil on Saturday, as the Australian star took the tape in a tight race at IRONMAN 70.3 Boulder.

Beating Danish rising star Sif Bendix Madsen, who finished just +0:34 back, Salthouse won her second race of the season after claiming victory earlier in the year at IRONMAN 70.3 Geelong.

In third place, Belgian short-course athlete Valerie Barthelemy secured a first ever Top 3 in what was just her second attempt at the middle distance, beating Britain’s Jodie Stimpson to the last spot on the podium.
