Brothers launch new coaching platform – New Triathlon

Blair and Fraser Cartmell have set up a new coaching business, New Triathlon.

A fine athlete in his own right, Blair Cartmell perhaps gained greater success over the last decade when switching his focus to coaching. Until recently he was the Lead Performance Centre Coach with Triathlon Scotland, guiding the likes of Marc Austin and Grant Sheldon to World Championship podiums and being an integral part of the British Triathlon Elite team at events all over the world.

We’ve also benefitted from Blair’s experience and insight on Tri247 this year, through his excellent preview / predictions pieces ahead of the major ITU races, which I know many of you have enjoyed reading.

Fraser Cartmell is one of the UK’s most experienced and successful triathletes. Currently racing for the Pewag Racing Team, Fraser has won IRONMAN UK, IRONMAN 70.3 UK Wimbleball (three times), IRONMAN 70.3 South Africa and twice finished top-ten at the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in a long career. In 2014 he was the Scottish Champion at Sprint, Standard, Middle, Duathlon and Aquathlon formats, so is also pretty versatile in his talents!

“With combined coaching and racing experience across all distances, it is a unique coaching platform and we are passionate about helping pass on our knowledge and experience to others.”
