The Long Course Weekend (www.lcwwales.com) in Tenby has developed in recent years to one of the most popular events on the annual calendar.

A full / long / iron distance event spread over three days, it comprises The Wales Swim (Friday), The Wales Sportive (Saturday) and The Wales Marathon (Sunday). While ‘Long Course Weekend’ athletes need to complete all three full distance events to claim the coveted “4th medal”, the attraction for many is the ability to mix and match distances to suit their training or racing needs.

The Swim offers two distances (2.4 miles or 1.2 miles), the Bike three distances (112 miles / 66 miles / 45 miles) and Run four distances (Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, 5km).

It also provides the added attraction of being a fantastic training opportunity for athletes racing at IRONMAN Wales in September.

With huge thanks to the photography lens of Ross Grieve (www.rossgrieve.com) / @RossGrievePhoto, here are some great images from the 2018 edition which took place last weekend.

After recently winning the Celtman Xtreme Triathlon, Harry Wiltshire was the men’s overall champion, with the women’s title going to Victoria Nealon, who was also the overall female winner of The Wales Marathon.
