Team Ramsay’s latest triathlon outing at the weekend saw them snare a place at the 2026 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in Nice, France.

Renowned chef Gordon Ramsay made a successful return to triathlon at IRONMAN 70.3 Luxembourg Remich – Région Moselle in July.

IRONMAN 70.3 races feature 1.2 miles of swimming, 56 miles of biking, and 13.1 miles of running, for a total of 70.3 miles, half the distance of a full IRONMAN.

The 58-year-old completed the Luxembourg event in a creditable time of 6:52:28 as he made his long-awaited return from injuries sustained in a cycling accident a year earlier.

And then his wife Tana, daughter Tilly and her fiance Adam Peaty – the Olympic swimming legend – all represented the family at the London T100 in August, raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital as part of their ongoing support through the Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation.

Their latest outing came this weekend just gone when Gordon, Tana and Tilly headed to Greece.

Hell’s Kitchen to heaven-sent finish line

IRONMAN 70.3 Costa Navarino, Peloponnese to give it its full name, started with a swim in the tranquil, crystal-clear waters of Gialova Bay.

That was followed by a two-loop bike course through some of Messinia’s most scenic landscapes and rounded off with a two-lap run route on a flat and fast route through Gialova Village.

First of the Ramsays to finish in a time of 6:00:40 was Tilly, who placed fourth in the F18-24 category, all set up by an impressive 31:31 swim.

Next across the line was Tana in 6:10:07 – though she was quicker on both the bike (3:10:45) and half marathon (2:02:41) than her daughter.

And both had bragging rights over Gordon who stopped the clock in 6:44:38 to shave nearly eight minutes off his time from 70.3 Luxembourg.

There was more to celebrate too as it was Tana who collected that prized spot at the 70.3 Worlds on the Cote d’Azur next year.

Putting the sport in the spotlight

Writing on Instagram, Gordon said: “We are an IRON Family! An amazing day at @ironman_greece and always knew the Greeks had it right 😉

“Thanks to all the athletes and volunteers who made today so great.

“And @tanaramsay and @tillyramsay I’m so proud of you both, even if you kicked the old man’s butt!!”

The benefits for triathlon’s reach in having the Ramsays so engaged with the sport are obvious – Gordon has nearly 20 million Instagram followers and the likes of David Beckham, with a cool 88 million, engaged with his posts over the weekend.
