Third of four new Team Freespeed members for 2019 confirmed

Having announced both Neil Eddy (HERE) and Katrina Rye (HERE) as the first two of four new members to their squad for the 2019 season, Team Freespeed (www.teamfreespeed.com) have confirmed Mark Matthews as the third new athlete on the team for the new year – with just one more name to come very soon.

And the third slot on the 2019 team is Mark Matthews.

Mark’s been a triathlete for a long time but what stood out to us was his first attempt at Ironman last year in Barcelona where he went 8:53:59 and was first AGer over the line.

Expect to hear a lot about Mark’s racing this season – he’s planning multiple 70.3s but with the ultimate goal of podium in Kona alongside fellow new team mate Neil Eddy.

And to keep it in the family he’s engaged to the other new recruit Katrina Rye with a wedding planned post-Kona.
