How to apply to become part of Team Sponge and #TRIFORGOOD

You’ll have read about the launch of Team Sponge HERE – but how can you become a part of it?

The team is looking for EIGHT triathletes “who love to compete at a high level but love supporting charity initiatives more”

Here is all the detail you need if that sounds like you…


WINNING FEELS GOOD. PASS IT ON.

  • Are you an amateur Triathlete?
  • Are you a whizz on social media?
  • Do you want to do some good in the world?

If so, you could #TRIFORGOOD by joining our team.

We are forming a new race team called ‘Team Sponge‘ with a unique aim: To try-harder for charity.

We need eight triathletes who love to compete at a high level but love supporting charity initiatives more.

Potential candidates will need to:

  • Love competing in (and winning) amateur triathlons
  • Have an interest in sports marketing, brand sponsorship and social media
  • Have passion and influence in the triathlon scene and broader world of sport

Team Sponge will be lead by Ironman Age Group World Champion, Jane Hansom, whose vision is to showcase triathlon as a friendly and accessible sport for all as well as raise money for grassroots sport charities.

By joining the Sponge Race Team, each athlete will be provided with generous benefits and kit from our sponsors – Cervelo, Huub, On Running, Craft, Kitbrix, Superfeet and CurraNZ. Coaching is provided by TriSutto.
