A busy and successful weekend for Elite British Duathlete Carl Avery
An Age-Group Duathlon World Champion in both 2014 and 2015, last year Carl Avery made the step up to the British Elite Duathlon team – finishing tenth at the ITU World Championships in Aviles, Spain.
He has seemingly started 2017 in great form, if this past weekend is a judge.
On Saturday, Carl finished tenth at the Inter Counties Cross Country Championships, held at Prestwold Hall, Loughborough. Representing the North East – for whom he was the second finisher – he also took home the team Gold, ahead of Surrey and Middlesex.

Less than 24 hours later, Carl was racing the Bedford Autodrome Draft Legal Duathlon (which was also an ITU Age-Group World Championship qualifier), and he added a another win, courtesy of a very swift final run to pull away from Tom Crouch.
Nice work Carl – an easy training day today, I hope?!
