ITU World Cup Chengdu – Semi-Final results
This weekend’s Chengdu ITU Triathlon World Cup in China is being held in a semi-final / final format over two days, the athletes having to qualify today (Saturday) over a sprint distance (750m / 20km 5km) race, to move through to Sunday’s super sprint (400m / 10km / 2.5km) final.
One Brit who didn’t make the start-line today was Olympic Bronze medallist Vicky Holland:
Gutted to say a sore calf has me sidelined for today's World Cup in China. Hopeful it will settle in time for Yokohama WTS next w/e 🤞

With the race falling one week prior to the third ITU World Triathlon Series race of 2017 in Yokohama, Japan, the British entry was significant, with Liam Lloyd, Gordon Benson, Ben Dijkstra, Jessica Learmonth, Lucy Hall, Non Stanford and Sophie Coldwell all in attendance.
14th in heat one, Liam Lloyd will race in the ‘B’ Final on Sunday, while all of the other British athletes made the final safely.
