Magnus Ditlev a MAJOR DOUBT for Singapore T100 after being injured in bike accident

Magnus Ditlev is a MAJOR DOUBT for Singapore T100 after being injured in a bike accident this week

STRENGTH. ENDURANCE. PERFORMANCE.

Magnus Ditlev is a major doubt for Sunday’s huge T100 showdown in Singapore after being injured in a bike accident just days out from the big race.

The giant Dane would go into the massive event as a strong contender on the back of his brilliant victory in the opening race of the much-hyped new series in Miami last month.

But his chances of just making the start line are now very much hanging in the balance after he sustained a fractured wrist in a bike accident when he slipped on a speed bump earlier this week.

Scans at a local hospital confirmed the fracture and he now has his wrist in a brace. He told TRI247 he will not make a decision on whether to race until the day before the event (Saturday).

He told us: “It was Tuesday afternoon where I crashed on my bike. Went to the hospital had especially my wrist scanned but also some other parts of my body. But the main problem is that there is a fracture in the wrist.

“At the moment I’m not sure if I will be able to race, but I’m still preparing as if I’m going to race. I’m going to be here either way so I might as well do that. We’ll see, take it one day at a time, see how it progresses.”

Ditlev stressed that he is very early in what is a huge season and will not put future races at risk just to make the start line on Sunday.

“The season is so long – this is only the second race of the series so there is still many more to come, so I won’t risk anything. We’ll see.”
