It was supposed to be Valencia but the sixth and latest stop on the 2025 T100 Triathlon World Tour will now be 45 minutes away at Oropesa del Mar, a historic town in Castellón.

As you’d expect two excellent pro fields line up in Spain, with Hayden Wilde topping the men’s one as he looks for a fourth victory of the campaign while on the women’s side three winners from this season are in action – Ashleigh Gentle, Lucy Charles-Barclay and Kate Waugh.

There’s an interesting added dynamic in that the athletes know the RaceRanger anti-drafting data will now be published after every T100 race going forward.

In our preview piece below, you can find everything you need to know about the T100 races, including start times, how to watch live and who’s on the start lists…

Start times and how to watch live

In Spain, the men go first – at 09:00 local time on Saturday 20th September. This corresponds to 08:00 in the UK, 03:00 on the East Coast and 00:00 on the West Coast.

The women’s race sets off at 10:10 local time.

The broadcast is available globally on Discovery+, Max, Eurosport and TNT Sports – full details here.

It’s also available for free on the PTO+ livestream.

The course

The Spain T100 swim will be a two lap, 2km sea swim with an Aussie exit timing checkpoint at 1km.

The bike course should be fast – the athletes head out of transition before six laps of approx 13km. Each lap features a climb of around 100m over each ascent with an average gradient of 1.2%. Then it’ll be back down the same road – with no technical bends until nearer the foot of the rise.

The run course features six 3km laps, held on an open palm-lined road. It’s a flat, fast course with just 90m of elevation change over the full 18km.

Men’s race – Full set of 2025 winners to start

Hayden Wilde will be the clear favourite again – he’s won three times while no one else has managed more than one victory.

His success on the French Riviera last time out was tinged by some shoe controversy but he’s been a class apart in the last couple of races since his comeback from that horror bike crash in Japan.

Given those injuries, the frantic nature of the swim has scuppered him in his last two WTCS races, but not so over the 100km distance.

However he actually doesn’t lead the standings – in bib #1 will be Jelle Geens, the winner in Vancouver and on the podium in all four of his T100 races in 2025.

San Francisco T100 winner Rico Bogen also lines up, meaning that we’ve got the full set from the five races so far.

Vincent Luis returns from injury while Sam Dickinson is looking to build on an excellent third on his T100 debut on the French Riviera. And Jonas Schomburg is slated to start after finishing sixth at the IRONMAN World Championship on Sunday!

Women’s race – Can Gentle build on latest win?

Ashleigh Gentle‘s success at the French Riviera T100 was a hugely popular one, the Aussie’s first since London in July 2024.

It does have to be said that none of this season’s other four winners lined up in Frejus so it will be fascinating to see how she gets on against this year’s London star Lucy Charles-Barclay and fellow Brit Kate Waugh, who triumphed in the season opener in Singapore.

LCB of course is building up to the IRONMAN World Championship next month, which she won the last time it was held in Kona.

India Lee roared back to form last time out in France when she finished on the podium in third and is another with designs on the win.
