After a breakthrough victory which landed him in hospital at the Singapore T100, Youri Keulen leads the T100 Triathlon World Tour rankings after stunning performances at the first two races of the season.

Just edging American Sam Long by a point at the top of the leaderboard, Keulen, who is currently racing without a contract, has been the standout athlete of the series so far.

With less than a fortnight now until the next race at the San Francisco T100, we take a look through the current standings a quarter of the way through the inaugural tour.

How do the rankings work?

Athletes are awarded points based on their finishing position at every race, with the seven regular season events awarding fewer points than the Grand Final at the end of the year.

Following the Grand Final, the T100 Tour title will be awarded to the athlete with the highest points, based on their four best-scoring performances throughout the year.
