Kyle Smith took a chunk out of the course record with a dominating display in Šamorín, as the New Zealander took a well deserved win at The Championship.

Up against a top field, Smith chased down Frederic Funk over the first lap of the run before pulling away, in the end beating the German by 2 minutes.

Rounding out the podium, Denmark’s Kristian Hogenhaug finished in third after a strong run to pick up his second podium of the season.
