Chrissie Wellington runs 1:20 at Bath Half Marathon

Four-time IRONMAN World Champion and all-round triathlon legend, Chrissie Wellington, has still got it - with a strong run at the Bath Half Marathon

She may be ‘retired’, proud mum to young Esme Grace and (ahem…) having recently joined the 40+ crowd, but the four-time IRONMAN World Champion Chrissie Wellington is still fit and able to produce an excellent run.

Preparing for the London Marathon (where she is fundraising for the Epilepsy Society and Cancer Research UK), Chrissie ran her local Vitality Bath Half Marathon on Sunday, clocking 1:20:43. That would suggest that her target of a few minutes under three hours is very much on the cards… and faster than the 3:08 she did when she ran London way back in 2002.
