No 70.3 Staffordshire revised date this year

The original 2020 date (7th June) had already been cancelled, but confirmation here from the UK IRONMAN team that – in line with Bolton and Cork – IRONMAN 70.3 Staffordshire will return in 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

That leaves – at the current time – just IRONMAN Wales (6th September) and IRONMAN 70.3 Weymouth (20th September), as the only two UK and Ireland Tour IRONMAN events still remaining on the 2020 schedule.

Here is the official update.

IRONMAN 70.3 Staffordshire Race Update

With the health and safety of our community being an utmost priority, and in alignment with the Staffordshire County Council and Stafford Borough Council in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic, we can confirm that the IRONMAN 70.3 Staffordshire triathlon originally scheduled for June 07, 2020 cannot take place in 2020 and will return on June 13, 2021. Athletes that are registered for the event are receiving an email with further details.

While we are prevented from holding the event on the original event date, we are looking forward to providing athletes with an exceptional event experience in the future.
